What is Memories of Annwn?

Memories of Annwn is a Live Action Role Playing (LARP) game designed by Gina Moriarty, and run in conjunction with Unlikely Stories. Memories of Annwn is based in a high fantasy land known as Antumnos, and takes inspiration from traditional Welsh and other British and European folklore. Each game is set around Vanora's Watch, a defence group in charge of protecting Antumnos from the dangers lurking in the Faewilds. Players are the members of this group, beholden to its Tenets and charged with guiding Antumnos to a new era.

Player spaces cost £100 (£80 for Concessions). The first event of Memories of Annwn will take place on 4-6 September 2026 at Cranham Scout Centre, Gloucestershire.

The Faewilds. They've always been dangerous. But there's more to it than that, the danger lurking within continues to grow, despite everything the piskies have thrown at it. Despite all my research.

It's too much for one fae, even for one nation… I think a part of me has always known that.

  • Havod; an agricultual nation with a rich appreciation of life and death; the booakers here practice Necromancy.

  • Llanhythel; a militaristic nation; the gwyllion here speak to ysbridion through the magic of Evocation.

  • Lyonn; rustic and wary, the piskies of the various yarldoms seek wisdom through the art of Divination.

  • Kloth'va; the coblynau here are industrious and progressive, aiding their inventions with the magic of Druidry.
